Royal Commission Update

14/09/2023

The much anticipated Final Report and recommendations from the Disability Royal Commission are soon to be released. As we approach this significant milestone, National Disability Services (NDS) wants to assure you that we are fully committed to supporting our valued members during this period of transition and change.

NDS supports the Royal Commission and upholds the right of people with disability to live free from violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation. We advocate for zero tolerance approaches in disability service organisations and ensure the quality and safety of supports. NDS will not defend the indefensible and will actively contribute to discussions on addressing failings in disability support.
