Post your Job Vacancies on the Working for Victoria Website

20/10/2020
Disability service providers are encouraged to use a free job listing service on the Working for Victoria website where organisations can post job vacancies, conduct initial screening and select from the full-list or a short-list of applicants.
Over 80,000 people who have lost their job as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic have registered on the Working for Victoria website. This is an untapped group of highly-employable people who previously worked in industries such as hospitality, travel and entertainment. Thousands of job seekers from metropolitan and regional Victoria have indicated that they are interested in working in the Health Care and Social Assistance sector, and many of these people will be available for an immediate start.
To get started, employers need to register - once the account has been set up, positions can be advertised and matched with candidates free of charge.
Providers who have submitted applications to the Working for Victoria program in May, under an initiative which involved government subsidies to employ workers under the Scheme, are advised the grant applications are still being worked through and applicants can expect to receive a response in early November.
