The Royal Commission has released 1,586 narratives, based on experiences provided in private sessions and submissions to the Royal Commission between 2019 and 2022.
The narratives are deidentified experiences of people with disability, their families, and supporters.
These experiences assisted the Royal Commission understand the type and scope of violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
Content warning: These stories may include references to suicide or self-harming behaviours. They are about violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation. They could be disturbing and include vivid details and harsh language. Some stories could be about deceased First Nations people.
