The 2020 SA Budget, delayed by the COVID 19 pandemic, focuses heavily on creating jobs and lifting business and household confidence to help kick start the South Australian economy, with a $4 billion stimulus package.

This Budget also saw the allocation of $5.8M over four years to establish and implement a restrictive practices authorisation framework for NDIS clients in South Australia.

While the framework is still under consideration NDS understands it is likely to include approved authorising officers employed by organisations intending to use restrictive practices and an overarching central authorising authority.
