Member webcast: NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and the NDIS Commission – An Overview
Australian governments and their agencies have developed a policy framework for securing the fuller participation of people with disability in community life. The National Disability Insurance Scheme and the accompanying NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework are two of the principal elements of this structure.
The Scheme delivers the supports that are reasonable and necessary for participants to achieve greater economic and social participation; the Quality & Safeguarding Framework describes the measures that need to be taken to ensure that participants receive high quality supports and are safe from abuse, neglect and violence in the delivery of those services. Operationalising the Framework is the responsibility of the NDIS Commission.
