NDS analyses the promising practices in the Disability Royal Commission final report
3/11/2023
In Chapter 10 of its final report, the Disability Royal Commission, recognising that there is no provider authority that could accept and carry out their recommendations, explored several promising practices for providers that will lead to better and safer services for participants.
In our final look at the DRC recommendations, we examine these promising practices, covering redress policies, inclusive governance, workforce improvements and more.
The Disability Royal Commission was a significant and intricate undertaking, spanning more than four-and-a-half years. Recently, it published its final report in 12 volumes with 222 recommendations. The report concludes with a request for a government response by the end of March next year.
